Green Bay Packers: Damarious Randall traded to Browns for DeShone Kizer

After one hard season, the Cleveland Browns threw away DeShone Kizer.

A busy day for the Cleveland Browns involved trading quarterback DeShone Kizer. The Packers and Browns also swap draft picks in the fourth and fifth rounds of this year's draft.

In a separate trade with Buffalo, two people familiar with the trade say the Browns have agreed to acquire quarterback Tyrod Taylor from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a third-round draft pick.

As Schefter also noted, the Browns could still have plenty of moves on the way.

Kizer himself retained the starting job in Cleveland for all but one game as a rookie previous year, tossing a league-leading 22 interceptions and completing only 54 percent of his passes. He rushed 77 times for 419 yards and five TDs.

Kizer was chosen 52nd overall in the 2017 National Football League draft by the Browns. He played in 14 games with 12 starts at cornerback for the Packers last season. Just as he did at Notre Dame, Kizer had accuracy problems and after he threw nine picks in his first five games, Jackson benched him in favor of Kevin Hogan.

He failed, but while he and the Browns slid toward ignominy, Kizer never complained, pointed fingers or made excuses.
