France's far-right National Front and far-left France Unbowed movement said they would take part in a march on Wednesday to honor a Holocaust survivor killed in a suspected antisemitic attack, despite calls by a Jewish group for them not to attend.

Mireille Knoll, 85, was found dead with 11 stab wounds at her apartment in a working-class district of Paris on Friday.

Other attacks in which police officers have been killed include the massacre at the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in Paris in January 2015, in which two police officers were killed, and the fatal April 2017 shooting of a policeman on the Champs Elysees. After the war she returned to Paris and spent most of her life in the eastern Paris apartment where she was killed, according to her son.

France's government presented a plan earlier this month to fight racism and anti-Semitism, focusing on social media and prevention in schools.
