A longtime personal aide to Donald Trump was abruptly fired and escorted from the White House Monday afternoon, only to be hired immediately by Trump's 2020 presidential campaign, according to multiple media reports and a campaign statement.

And it highlights the extent to which the re-election campaign has already become a landing pad for former Trump associates who have left the White House but remain loyal to the President. "The White House's ongoing obstruction of congressional oversight appears to be an attempt to hide from the American people pervasive and widespread dysfunction inside the White House, which directly threatens our nation's security".
