"Pitchforks down, please" - Burnout Paradise Remastered won't have microtransactions

All versions of Burnout Paradise Remastered will include the original base game and all eight downloadable content packs released, bar the so-called 'Time Savers Packs' which unlocked all base vehicles in the game for a one-off payment.

It has been many years since Criterion moved on from the Burnout series. Did many of you play Burnout Paradise back in the day?

Reddit user BOZO_7 captured a screenshot of Burnout Paradise Remastered's PSN page, which you can see below. The current-gen edition includes "high resolution textures" and 4K / 60 FPS support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Criterion Games fast-paced open world racer Burnout Paradise first launched back in 2008 originally on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with a PC release later on.

Burnout Paradise Remastered is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month, but why not the Nintendo Switch? . "With the release of this remaster, we're able to share this action-packed ride with a whole new generation of players". On the PC, we didn't get every single piece of DLC for the original game, so this will be the first time that some content is available on the platform.

Stellar Entertainment are handling the port, but who are they?

Electronic Arts has been cautious in its approach to the Switch, with commitment limited to a stripped back edition of Federation Internationale de Football Association 18, and the EA Originals release of Fe.

This is somewhat par for the course when it comes to "Burnout Paradise" for the platform. EA Access subscribers can play up to ten hours of the game a week early, starting on March 9.

Today's press release only detailed the console versions of the remaster, which will release on March 16, while EA's Origin store page simply lists the PC version as "coming soon".
