Theo Walcott starts for Everton against West Bromwich Albion

Everton are ready to sell Aaron Lennon to Premier League rivals Burnley and the clubs have agreed a deal in principle for the winger to move to Turf Moor, according to BBC Sport.

Theo Walcott will make his debut for Everton as the Toffees host West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park this afternoon.

The Toffees are still looking for their first win of 2018, having lost their previous four matches and failed to win any of their last six.

The Baggies ended a run of 20 games without a win thanks to a 2-0 triumph over Brighton last time out - and will be desperate to follow that up with another three points.

It was their first victory in the league since August, and Alan Pardew will be hoping to maintain the momentum when they face Everton at Goodison.

After a bad start to the season, Everton are ninth in the Premier League table. An early goal from the head of captain Jonny Evans settled West Brom into the game and they were further rewarded for their more adventurous play in the second half when Craig Dawson doubled the Baggies lead. West Brom are two points behind Southampton who are 17th.

The 30-year-old winger has been made available following Everton's £20m signing of Theo Walcott.

Despite Everton's lengthy injury list being reduced, Allardyce still has a reduced choice in defence with Leighton Baines (calf) Michael Keane (foot) Funes Mori (knee) and Seamus Coleman (leg) all still unavailable. Depending on other results, an away win on Saturday could lift them out of the drop zone.

Nacer Chadli is still out for the Baggies but James Morrison could make a return after a lengthy stint on the sidelines. However, Everton have struggled lately, failing to win any of their last five games.

'I'm very ambitious and I've come here because I want the club to push to the next level, ' he said.
