Stephen Curry scores season-high 45 points as Warriors rout Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin was place in the concussion protocol after going down with a scary injury against the Golden State Warriors. Griffin drove into the lane and, as he began to stumble, took an elbow to the head from JaVale McGee. He stayed there for several minutes before rising to his feet and walking to the locker room under his own power. He should be considered tentatively questionable for Monday's game against the Hawks until further information emerges. In the third quarter, with Curry's 16 points leading the way, the Warriors outscored the Clippers 39-21, to seize a 103-76 lead.

Griffin was hurt in a frightening incident with less than 3 minutes left in the first quarter.

It was a thought surely shared by L.A. head coach Doc Rivers.

Griffin, 28, came into Saturday's game averaging 23.6 points and 7.7 rebounds. When Curry missed 11 games last month with a sprained right ankle, Durant shouldered a heavier load and guided Golden State to a 9-2 record.

The Warriors completed an undefeated three-game road trip after defeating the Clippers 121-105 on Sunday (AEDT).
