Princess Charlotte Looks Beyond Adorable on Her First Day of Nursery School

It's not so much of surprise that Charlotte would be wearing footwear from Doña Carmen, as she wore the same Mary Janes in blue for the royal family Christmas portrait last month.

Kensington Palace shared photos of the adorable 2-year-old on Monday, her first day of nursery school.

The school's ethos is ethos is "for high standards, excellence and good manners".

Of course it doesn't come cheap to send your youngsters to the posh nursey. Charlotte will attend morning sessions from 9am to 12pm, which are described by the school as "a fun and structured morning with lots of free play where children embark on the first stages of learning to read, write and to understand simple numbers with the minimum of pressure". There are three terms in the year, so that costs families around £9,150, or about $12,200, per year.

Charlotte wrapped up warm for her big day in a burgundy double-breasted wool coat by Amaia Kids, which is priced at £120.00, and is now still in stock, unlike the grey version - which is completely sold out.

It said: "The organisation of the time that children attend is exceptional".

Pictures taken by her pregnant mother showed the smiling two-year-old outside her home before she set off to begin at the private Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington.

George, 4, started at St. Thomas's Battersea School in September.

Where is Willcocks Nursery School?

And, according to the Kensington Palace Instagram account, it was the Duchess of Cambridge who captured this memorable moment.

The school was founded in 1964 and has been at its current location near the Royal Albert Hall since 1984.
