Nintendo Switch Becomes Fastest-Selling Game Console Ever

After the Wii U's huge failure Nintendo needed to get back to the glory days.

More than 300 games created by third-party developers have already launched for Nintendo Switch.

Unlike the disastrously empty Wii U catalogue, the Switch has everything from old-school revivals to more new IP than you can shake a stick at. "We want to move the community forward and provide a persistent, stable and fast method of running your own code and custom firmware patches on Nintendo's latest flagship product". The PS2 now has the world record for console sales, selling an impressive 155 million units during its lifetime. The image that you can see at the top of the news shows a magazine with images of this weird looking DS console along with Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch has become the fastest-selling home console in the history of home console sales in the US, Nintendo has announced.

According to Nintendo's internal sales figures, the Switch has sold more than 4.8 million units in the United States alone. Another big seller, with more than 55% of Switch owners laying down cash for, is "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". These sale numbers aren't surprising at all considering that Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey got a near flawless score from every reviewer some even gave them a 10/10.
