New Xbox One update Adds The "Do Not Disturb" Option

New Xbox One update Adds The

Already rolling out to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha ring, Microsoft has revealed some of the features that will be coming with the next Xbox One system update, including new achievement features, Mini Game Hubs, the ability to set your online status to "Do Not Disturb" and more besides. By selecting Do not disturb, your Xbox will suppress all notifications from appearing, but also inform your friends that you aren't available.

Sometimes all you want to do is avoid all distractions and focus entirely on your game.

The update also adds the Next Achievements feature.

With this update, players will be able to use "Next Achievements" feature in the guide, which enables you to view and sort a cross-games list of upcoming achievements.

It'll also soon be possible to set up an automatic shut down time range, which is pretty great if you tend to leave your console running when you leave the home and walk around for a whole day with fire risk fears hanging over your head. These Mini Game Hubs contain the same content seen in regular hubs, such as Achievements, friend activity and so on.

The community feed has been altered to make the viewing of comments easier.

Microsoft did not say when the rest of us can expect to see these features, but it typically takes about a month for testing to wrap up. Most recent comments will be posted at the top and you'll also be able to see who has liked your comments.

A small group of users will receive a look at experimental features as well to allow Microsoft to gauge interest before pursuing them further.

Inactivity shutdown options have also been added. In the next few hours, gamers in the Alpha pool will be able to download it.

Some users are encountering where some games that are installed are failing to launch.
