Has 'Red Dead Redemption 2' finally got an actual release date?

The good news is that, if this is correct, Rockstar Games will just barely be making their most recent "Spring 2018" launch window.

According to a product page at Coolshop, that as of this writing is still in place, Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on June 8, 2018. In other words, either Coolshop is really bad when it comes to embargoes, or they've got a rogue employee who is just way too excited about Rockstar games to keep his or her mouth shut.

Let us know in the comments section if you are as excited for Red Dead Redemption as we are!

The reason that this is newsworthy, is because Coolshop proved itself accurate with the Grand Theft Auto V release date.

It's not the most credible of sources.

The release date was spotted by Red Dead News on Twitter yesterday, and the subsequent reaction from the Internet caused Coolshop to quietly replace the original release date witwh a nondescript 2018 placeholder. And with fans clamoring for any tidbit of information they can gather on Rockstar's upcoming western, this is juicy gossip for late December. He's an outlaw in the Van der Linde gang. We don't now know very much about what the game will entail, but at this point any additional entry in the series is exciting for those looking to see the story continue.

It's already pushed the game back from a "Fall 2017" launch which was touted in the first trailer, so it's not out of the question that the game may have been delayed again. Red Dead Redemption II is a gorgeous game if we can go by its trailers. We'll have to wait for Rockstar to confirm one way or another, which likely won't happen anytime soon. The GTA V leak announced the game's release on a Friday and the game finally came out on a Tuesday four days later.
