Fire doused at Shiv Shakti Industrial State building in Lower Parel

A fire broke out on the first floor of three-storey Shiv Shakti building in Mumbai's Lower Parel area on Sunday morning, reported news agency ANI.

A massive fire was reported from Cinevista Studio situated at Lal Bahadur Shastri Road on Kanjurmarg in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The fire department said it received a call at 8:07 pm and fire engines reached the spot at 8:25 pm. There is no report about any casualty so far. Fortunately, nobody was killed in any of these incidents, althouth two people were arrested for starting the Nagpada fire.

The incident comes days after the major fire that engulfed Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel on December 26, last year.

On 29 December a year ago, a fire that started at a rooftop pub during a party spread rapidly through the building, killing 14 people, including a woman celebrating her 29th birthday and many of her friends. As per the official website of Cinevista Studio it states that it is a mix of all kinds of permanent and temporary sets and over 30 shooting locations. The fire at Cinevista is reportedly of level 2 and according to a video shared by a user on Twitter, huge flames can be seen coming out of the building.
