Fifth Harmony Alum Camila Cabello Freaks Out Over Elton John Compliment

"I just love that attitude, there's a vibrance here that makes me feel good".

BOTTOM LINE Former Fifth Harmony singer makes surprisingly powerful solo debut. As for exactly why did she leave Fifth Harmony, the songstress admitted to the NYT that it was the first song she did without the group, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" along with her BFF Shawn Mendes that started to created tension with her bandmates. In a post on Twitter, Fifth Harmony - consisting of members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui - announced Cabello's departure, writing, "After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has made a decision to leave Fifth Harmony".

Amusing thing, though. As she worked on the album past year, buoyed by the success of her collaborations "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly and then "Havana" with Young Thug, the questions didn't seem important any more.

"I think she's going to have an unbelievable year because she's just so gorgeous and so much fun and she's got a great voice and she has great attitude", he said.

Sadly, Cabello said she would have like to stay with the band but it became impossible because she chose to follow her passion.

"It became clear that it was not possible to do solo stuff and be in the group at the same time", she added.

"If anyone wants to explore their individuality, it's not right for people to tell you no."
"I don't like holding onto the past". Most recently, the singer hung out with her pals Taylor Swift and Ed Sheehan backstage during a Jingle Ball concert and was surprised to see Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were there as well.

In a revealing new New York Times published Thursday (January 11), Cabello talks about everything from what it was like to watch 5H mock-kill her on live TV to what it was like to get her first kiss. "And obviously, Blake Lively is a queen". Your records make me smile'.

Be sure to check out the "Havana" hitmaker's eponymous debut solo album dropping January 12! And I love them together but they were super cool.
