Dark Souls is arriving on Nintendo Switch fairly soon

The game was shown alongside a number of other new versions of older games for Switch, including cult hit The World Ends With You, Super Nintendo classic Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors. Nintendo has updated their site to include the Nintendo Direct Mini and it's got all the details on Dark Souls Remastered. It's finally happening, and it is certainly glorious. The report shared a info about the game release that soon Nintendo will announce Nintendo Direct Mini and Dark Souls Remastered will be part the announcement.

There were a number of rumors going around that Dark Souls Remastered would be headed our way in the near future. It will render at upscaled 4K on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One while the PC version will feature resolution upto native 4K.

Dark Souls Remastered will release for Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 25th. Demon's Souls' servers may still be going strong two years after release, but however long they do last, I'd bet Dark Souls' servers will certainly last much longer.

"DARK SOULS: REMASTERED delivers the same great gameplay, online mechanics, and environmental storytelling that has inspired countless game players and developers", said Kasumi Yogi, Associate Brand Manager for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. Astorias of the Abyss DLC is included in this remaster for all platforms. The standard multiplayer system will remain, with support for up to six players at once and access to nine different covenants. Bandai Namco would also bring Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III on Switch, but it is not clear whether in a single package or individually.

There's also reports that Electronic Arts is planning to release a port of Fe on Nintendo Switch.
