Alabama WR Calvin Ridley entering NFL Draft

Now the running back, on the heels of Alabama's fifth national title under head coach Nick Saban, is forgoing his senior season with the Crimson Tide.

Alabama wide receiver Calvin Ridley will forego his senior year and enter the 2018 National Football League draft, he announced on Twitter.

In the championship game, Harris faced off against Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, two backs who also chose to come back for their senior seasons this year and ultimately led Georgia to the SEC championship and title game in Atlanta. Having been thoroughly prepared for that next step, I am truly ready, because in the beginning, I chose THE RIGHT SCHOOL. The Under Armour All-America Game participant had 41 catches, 1,131 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior for the Knights.

Payne, an All-SEC selection who was the defensive MVP of both the national championship and semifinal games, will also bypass his senior year to enter the draft, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Alabama teammate Calvin Ridley declared for the NFL Draft via Twitter.

A five-star recruit out of Monarch, Ridley had a stellar three-year collegiate career, in which he totaled 224 receptions, 2,781 yards and 19 touchdowns. WalterFootball.com ranks is the No. 1 ranked wide receiver in the 2018 draft class.
