TV Station Says Omaha Homicide Suspect Arrested in Tennessee

The three were found dead inside the couple's home in Omaha Tuesday night and police then obtained a warrant for John Dalton, Jr.'s arrest on first-degree murder charges, the report said.

Officers were called to a home in the 3900 block of N. 37th Street shortly before 8 p.m.to investigate a shooting Tuesday. They said the suspect is 46-year-old John Dalton, Jr.

Police identified the victims as 70-year-old John W. Dalton and 65-year-old Jean Dalton, who were the parents of the suspect, and 18-year-old Leonna Dalton-Phillip, who was the man's niece.

John W. Dalton Jr.is seen in this undated booking photo.

A 3 News Now photographer at the scene recorded a juvenile girl yelling at police at the scene, telling them her father shot her grandparents before leaving the area.

Authorities are seeking 46-year-old John Dalton Jr.as a person of interest. Prison records say he was paroled in 2010.

Police say Dalton should be considered armed and unsafe.

Police believe Dalton may be driving a black 2015 GMC Terrain or a red 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, and warn that he is risky. Anyone with information about Dalton or the killings were asked to call 911.
