This is the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition that you can't buy

As per the reports, OnePlus announced the launch of a special Star Wars Limited Edition of the OnePlus 5T at the Bangalore Comic Con event.

The silver-grey edges and back panel are there to evoke the colours and style of the rather unique lightsaber main antagonist and pseudo emo-Sith Kylo Ren uses in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

We saw the word of this devices coming late last month - right around the time we caught wind of all the other versions of this OnePlus 5T in the wild.

Aside from the cosmetic features, the Star Wars Limited Edition OnePlus 5T is pretty much the same as the vanilla handset, which itself is a worth upgrade to the OnePlus 5 that made its debut earlier this year. The only difference is in the style with the new OnePlus 5T styled after the Star Wars theme.

Talking about the specifications, the OnePlus 5T has a white finish with Star War logo. It will feature customized software themed on Star Wars, and a redesigned exterior featuring a white finish on the back of the device with a black OnePlus logo under the fingerprint sensor and a red Star Wars logo adorning the bottom.

OnePlus is holding a special launch event in Mumbai on December 14 to formally show off the special device. "OnePlus and Star Wars fans can be a part of the launch event in Mumbai by booking the tickets for Rs 999 only on Paytm, starting 7th Dec from 10 am onwards", says the company's statement.

As for the availability, the smartphone will go on sale the same day as the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is on December 15.

The alert slider is now red but the volume rocker (and power button) is black.

The special edition will presumably come with the same specs as the standard Midnight Black edition.

Yet OnePlus seems to have a tendency to sell its Limited Edition phones locally. The smartphone has 6.01-inch full optic AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2160) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
