The Game Awards 2017: Bayonetta 3 Coming to Nintendo Switch

The Game Awards 2017: Bayonetta 3 Coming to Nintendo Switch

The games release in Japan on February 17. This continues the series' Nintendo exclusivity following Bayonetta 2's exclusive release on Wii U. There is now no Bayonetta 3 release date for Nintendo Switch, with the trailer not even hinting at a release year.

Another exciting announcement is that we will see a Bayonetta 3 in the not so distant future.

Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 are releasing on February 16, 2018 in North America and Europe for Nintendo Switch. Once again, Platinum games, who developed Nier Automata (the game that deservedly won best music for 2017), is going with Nintendo. It will be a Switch exclusive, not a real surprise considering Bayonetta 2 only came to the Wii U. However, it is a tremendous deal for Nintendo and should push sales of its handheld even further. Once you buy the sequel, you'll then be able to get Bayonetta for $10. This Special Edition comes complete with steelbook, 22 art cards and three sticker sheets. This new port will have online and local support for Tag Climax co-op, amiibo functionality of some sort (more costumes?), and up-to-30-second video recordings through the Switch's capture feature.

Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 (together in one package) costs $49.99 at retail. Nintendo hasn't said when Bayonetta 3 will be available, so it'll likely be a bit of a wait. Keep checking back for more info as we get it.
