Parking dispute leads to stabbing, vehicle into crowd

A driver plowed a auto into half a dozen people during a fight over a parking spot outside a hookah bar in the New York City borough of Queens in the early hours of Sunday morning, killing one and injuring the others before fleeing, police said. It happened around 4:45 a.m. Sunday. Two people were stabbed in the fight and rushed to the hospital.

A New York City detective said the incident wasn't terror-related.

The NY Daily News has cited a witness to the accident as saying that there was a brawling group a few moments before the attack. "The bodies went flying".

"The girl is yelling 'Stop, stop". One person was killed, and five others injured, one of them critically.

Police were searching for the driver, The Associated Press reported. The two people involved in the initial stabbing dispute were in stable condition.

Police say the driver then got back into his vehicle, drove off, jumped a curb and hit a group of pedestrians. He pleaded not guilty last week to terrorism charges.
