Mike's Carwash donates thousands to Toys for Tots

This year, the goal is to help more than 50,000 children.

Since older kids' needs often are overlooked, please consider donating for those ages 12 to 18.

She says the toys program is a big difference for her family.

A Kansas City charity is appealing for toys so that each of the more than 500 children it serves can have a Christmas gift. He said it helps when local businesses and organizations put on Toys for Tots drives. The children also receive stocking stuffers that consist of children's books.

As this year's official Toys for Tots drop off location, Papa Murphy's stores across Utah - as well as in Rock Springs, Evanston, and Elko - are giving back to those who donate as well. Faith Christian School has stepped up to help Toys for Tots over the years. "You don't have to be a Marine to run a Toys for Tots campaign", Aloia said.

The school will have an all day Toys for Tots collection day on Friday.

"I've always been lucky and my kids have had plenty, and I want to make sure other children do", Sheila Sullivan of Wilbraham said. Sannes said the collected toys are being stored in a warehouse off USA 301 and will be sorted and distributed out before Christmas.

Mike's Carwash offered discounted vehicle washes then donated $1 of each wash to Toys for Tots.
