Harvey Weinstein was 'paternal' towards Jennifer Lawrence

Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein quickly became the topic at hand in the discussion as Lawrence said that she didn't "know a woman who hasn't been touched by some sort of abuse".

She told Oprah Winfrey in a new interview that she "didn't know that he was a rapist." . The actress said there was a moment when all of the allegations against Harvey first surfaced, where her friends and acquaintances told her that it would be best to speak out.

Lawrence said in 2015 that a Trump presidency would be "the end of the world".

The 27-year-old actor has admitted that it took her a "moment to process" the sexual harassment allegations against the disgraced producer as the disgraced mogul had always been like a father figure to her, reports People Magazine.

"Just speaking for myself, I had known him since I was 20 years of age, and he had only ever been nice to me, except for the moments that he wasn't, and then I called him an a-hole, and we moved on".

"He was paternal to me", she added.

The Hunger Games actress also stated that everyone knew Weinstein was a "brute and a dog", but she had no idea that he was a rapist. "I know every studio head in town". "Zoe Saldana came and got an onion from me the other day", she said.

The actress praised the dozens of women who have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against several men in the industry.
