German Magazine Releases Controversial, Unedited Morrissey Interview

Why aren't we downstairs on the lobby?' So it doesn't ring quite true to me and it does seem to me he has quite unnecessarily attacked.

In a new statement released on Monday (11Dec17), Morrissey denounced Der Spiegel's reporting and demanded editors provide "un-chopped, un fiddled (sic) with audio" of the interview.

"In the interests of the human race I would, yes", he replies. "Anybody who has ever said to a person, 'I quite like you, ' suddenly they're being accused of sexual harassment", he said.

The interview quoted Morrissey calling the claims "ridiculous"; he argued that definitions of harassment and assault had become too broad.

Weinstein, through a spokeswoman, has repeatedly denied "any allegations of non-consensual sex" after two expos-s published in October revealed decades of alleged sexual misconduct by the movie producer, including rape accusations.

The audio of a controversial interview where Morrissey discusses Donald Trump and Kevin Spacey has been released. Since they eagerly flew from beloved Berlin to beloved Los Angeles to talk and laugh, I assumed a common understanding. "Never. And I was always aware of how things could go", he said. When you are in someone's bedroom, you have to be aware of where that can lead to.

Now, Der Spiegel has shared what they claim to be the unedited recording of the interview with the This Charming Man singer, conducted on 15 November.

Spacey said in October that he didn't recall the incident, but apologized after actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making a sexual advance toward him in 1986, when Rapp was 14 years old and Spacey was 26. "But in many cases, one looks at the circumstances and thinks that the person referred to as a victim is merely disappointed". He concluded by writing that his request for a copy of the interview's full audio had been ignored.

A week after the interview was published by Der Spiegel, Morrissey said during a concert at Chicago's Riviera Theatre: 'I did an interview a couple of weeks ago for a German newspaper and, of course, let me just say this: That was the last print interview I will ever do.
