Christmas story set to pop up at Horncastle St Mary's

The First Church of Christ Woodbridge invites all members of the community to join us at 5 Meeting House Lane, for the following Advent Special Services and Events.

A traditional period of introspection and preparation for the coming of the Christ child on Christmas, advent services continue Sunday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 24 at 9 a.m.

At Peggs Community Church, the Christmas program will be held Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m.

December 24, 10 a.m., Advent Worship Service "Love for Those Who Are Wounde;" 7 p.m., Christmas Eve Family Service "Hope for Those Who Are Willing;' 11 p.m., Lessons and Carols by Candlelight". Special Cantata, with men's ensemble, instrumental and hand bells, will be held at 7 p.m. Refreshments served afterward. Traditional service will be at 11:30 a.m.

Rehobeth Methodist Church, N.C. Highway 138 and Plank Road, Aquadale, will have its community candlelight service at 6 p.m. Ron Dry and congregation welcome all to come enjoy the reason for the season. The musical will be preceded by a chili supper at the church, starting at 5 p.m.

God's Mountain Church will also host its Christmas program Sunday at 10 a.m. The service includes a time to light candles in memory of loved ones as well as a time for prayer. Sunday morning services of Holy Eucharist are offered weekly at 8 a.m.

"This will be a truly fun and interactive experience, where every child gets the chance to take part, said the Rev Samantha Parsons, who is organising the service". Celebrate Christmas at the Athens United Methodist Church, 118 S. Main St., Athens.

Mountain View Baptist Church invites all to attend its Christmas play "A New Home for Christmas" at 6 p.m. That evening, the candlelight service will begin at 6 the auditorium.
