Wendy Williams Faints During A Live Taping Of Her Show

Wendy Williams had a different kind of Halloween scare on Tuesday, fainting onstage during her show in a shocking on-air moment.

Clad in a glitzy Statue of Liberty costume, Williams began slurring her words while introducing an audience participation segment late in the Halloween broadcast.

When she finally came back on the air to announce the winners of a costume contest, Williams appeared to be struggling. "It's always a lot of fun".

Williams took four steps backwards and a look of fear and shock could be seen on her face before she dropped completely out of view. I overheated in my costume and I passed out.

"But do you know what?"

After a commercial break, Wendy appeared on screen and explained what had happened to the anxious audience and fans at home.

The Wendy Williams Show is a syndicated infotainment talk show created by Williams, an actress, author and former radio personality.

"She overheated because of her heavy costume, make up and lights". Slightly mixing up her speech, she paused momentarily before her eyes went wide and she stumbled back while shaking, then suddenly fell as she momentarily lost consciousness.

The statement read, 'Everybody relax.

It was a sentiment echoed on Williams' official Twitter account as well.

"She had never missed a day of work and is looking forward on November 13th to her 1500th show", Torossian said.

She also tweeted saying she's feeling much better and thanked everyone for the well wishes.
