Trump Is Dead on Snoop Dogg's New Album Cover

Trump Is Dead on Snoop Dogg's New Album Cover

The cover for rapper Snoop Dogg's latest album, "Make America Crip Again" - which was released October 27 - features a dead body sporting a morgue toe tag that reads "Trump".

Snoop Dogg is nothing if not direct about his disdain for Donald Trump.

This isn't the first time that Snoop Dogg - real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. - took aim at Trump in a physical way. The cover is a near-exact recreation of Cube's classic cover, but for the toe tag on the corpse in the morgue, which now reads "Trump" instead of "Uncle Sam".

Make America Crip Again is the follow-up album to 2016's Coolaid.

In a statement shared by his representative, Snoop Dogg said that the song is "not a statement or a political act: it's just good music". "Fuck that shit. We gonna make America crip again", he says on the track.

Snoop Dogg revealed his new album cover featuring a toe-tagged Trump.

"Crip" has always been associated with the West Coast street gang of the same name, but the rapper argues he uses it to describe a time when young African American men worked together to better their neighborhoods and communities.

Trump himself responded to Snoop's video with a tweet. The Crips started as a mirror of the Black Panther Party, but are more known today for glorifying gang violence.

In March, Snoop Dogg sparked uproar after the release of his "BADBADNOTGOOD" music video in which he pulled a fake gun on a clown dressed as Trump. The album cover pictures a blue hat with the words "Make America Crip Again" - a clear dig at Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan. "They looked after kids, provided after school activities, fed them and stepped in as role models and father figures".
