Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Joe Gomez receive senior England call-ups

Striker Abraham who some weeks back caught the fancy of Amaju Pinnick, the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has scored four of Swansea's seven league goals this season.

England host world champions Germany on Friday 10 November and Brazil four days later in their final internationals of the year.

Abraham was included on Thursday in England's squad for friendlies against Germany and Brazil at Wembley next week, and Clement said the on-loan Chelsea player had the characteristics to cope with the demands of worldwide football.

"If I am asking club managers to be fearless and pick young players, then I think I have got to do the same".

Midfielder Loftus-Cheek has made six appearances for Crystal Palace in spite of missing some games with a thigh injury.

Explaining the return of 32-year-old Young, Southgate said: "His performances warrant it". I think it's a role he can perform - left or right - very well.

The 25-year-old has seen just 13 minutes of Premier League action this season and is running out of time to convince Southgate he should play a part next summer.

Having secured their place at Russian Federation 2018 last month, Southgate will begin attempts to form his 23-man squad for next summer with back-to-back friendlies as England's 2017 campaign concludes.

Manchester United's Ashley Young, Danny Rose of Spurs and Leicester's Jamie Vardy have been recalled but there is no place for Liverpool pair Daniel Sturridge and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, United's Chris Smalling or Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

"He got a lovely assist against Arsenal".
