Surface Pro LTE coming December, but only for enterprise

Microsoft even claims that it is the fastest LTE-enabled laptop in its class. Microsoft today posted a new video offering a closer look at the LTE improvements included in this new Surface Pro device.

The new Surface Pro with LTE Advanced offers an always-on connection capable of download speeds of up to 450 Mbps, according to the company.

The Surface Pro LTE will be available for businesses on December 1. Microsoft appears to be targeting this model towards businesses, and the company unveiled it on stage at the business-focused Future Decoded event in London this morning.

The new machine "delivers global connectivity with support of 20 cellular bandsso you can work, study, create or relax uninterrupted", Panay wrote.

The Surface Pro LTE Advanced (as it is officially called), will be available in two configurations both with an Intel Core i5 processor.

This particular variant of Surface Pro is apparently equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 modem.

The Microsoft Surface family will see an upgrade this holiday season with the Surface Book 2 shipping on November 16, followed by the Surface Pro LTE on December 1. Surface Pro LTE also supports nano-SIM. He further added that with multiple varying locations the device becomes the office and many clients say that the device functions like a mobile office for them. We like its "powerful Core i7 processor with Iris Plus graphics", "improved battery life" over its predecessor, and "higher-than-full-HD screen resolution".
