PSG step up interest in Jose Mourinho

Marcel Desailly believes the Manchester United squad still isn't suited to Jose Mourinho's style of play.

United were found wanting as they lost 1-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, with the Red Devils displaying a lack of playmaking from midfield. The fact that his team has once more not managed to score in an away game against a league title rival can not be ignored.

The Burkina Faso worldwide is still a developing talent, and he could provide balance to United's attack on the right, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial featuring on the left.

The France global has scored six goals and registered five assists in all competitions, which include four Premier League goals. The 20-year-old has started in 11 matches in all competitions and has scored one more goal than the Frenchman.

In the absence of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United have failed to light up Old Trafford this season, and suddenly find themselves 8 points off the top of the table, after being tied at the top with City just under a month ago. With Mourinho opting to field a defensive lineup, Martial has found himself out of the starting eleven more often than not this season. The forward remains hopeful that he will get his chance to start regularly, if he continues to impress the former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager.

This last example, as any online sports betting guide will be happy to tell you, is the ninth out of ten games Man United has played away against the other big sixteams and not managed to even score.

And in the end, the youngster was asked why he did not fight much to get into Chelsea's first team squad, and he replied, "I don't know".

But these recent struggles to win the Premier League should actually come as no surprise, seeing as United are an historically average team who happen to have been coached by three superb managers. I prefer to start games and show what I'm capable of.

"They (international players) all disappear and then we have a couple... like (Chris) Smalling and (Ander) Herrera and they really deserve, after so many matches, to have a week off which I'm going to give them", Mourinho informed.
