Pogba Lauds Martial As One Of The Best He Has Played With

Pogba has been out since early September (missing 12 games) with a hamstring problem, while Rojo suffered a serious knee ligament injury at the end of last season and Carrick has recovered from a virus.

Paul Pogba has backed Manchester United colleague Anthony Martial to make France's World Cup squad next year.

The news will come as a huge boost to Mourinho as the United boss tries to close the gap on Manchester City after falling 8 points adrift of the league leaders following last weekend's defeat at Chelsea.

Furthermore, the Reds were creating 14.8 chances per game in the presence of their £89m-rated midfielder, but without him, they have only been able to create 7 per match - numbers that also explain Romelu Lukaku's goal-scoring drought.

Paul Pogba still isn't quite ready to make his return from injury just yet.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's fellow France worldwide Anthony Martial.

"I have faith in my qualities, and I think the manager has confidence in me, too, so it's up to me to continue putting in good performances, and if I do that, I think I'll play a bit more".

With reports doing the rounds saying that he may be ready to make his comeback in United's meeting with Newcastle next week, Pogba has spent the worldwide break catching up with his France teammates after their Friday night victory over Wales.

Pogba continued to say that Martial is a "big, big, big talent" and that he is only "going to improve" with age.

Four goals and two assists in that time suggests Mourinho ought to start the winger more often, especially with Henrikh Mkhitaryan struggling for form. He is still young and is going to improve.
