PM to address rallies in Una, Palampur, Kullu today

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Sunday criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his "termite" remark on Congress and said it reveals his despair as the party was losing ground in Himachal Pradesh.

PM Modi urged people that there should not be a single polling booth where there will be presence of Congress.

"I haven't come here to ask you to make BJP win".

He vowed to continue fighting corruption, claiming that it had angered the opposition party which was observing "black money day" on November 8, the first anniversary of demonetisation decision. He also said that he will be overseeing the analysis on the "benami" properties and will be ruthless in weeding out any corrupted leaders. The party appears to be taking a kind of revenge on the octogenarian Chief Minister, he said.

The Prime Minister said the people of Himachal Pradesh will remember former chief ministers Prem Kumar Dhumal for his contribution in promoting tourism and Shanta Kumar for taking up the herculean task of laying water pipelines, but the Congress governance for corruption.

"For the Congress, it is never dal se bada desh (the country is bigger than the party). People of Himachal Pradesh have chose to teach a lesson to those who have cheated them", PM Modi said. "There are five monsters in Himachal Pradesh which we need to get rid off - mining mafia, forest mafia, drug mafia, tender mafia and transfer mafia", Prime Minister Modi said.

Himachal Pradesh is going to hold elections on 9th November, and the counting of the votes and results will take place on 18 December, 2017. He added that there was a time when people used to talk about losses and now they talk about gains.

"Now our policy has stopped the leak. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, transparency, integrity and development of country's interest at a faster pace is clearly evident", Goyal said. Their problem is that a tea-seller has become the prime minister, a poor mother's son has reached this level. I know each and every street here.

"Congress and corruption, they're one and the same thing".
