Plane forced to land after woman unlocks husband's phone, discovers affair

The couple, flying with their child, were traveling to Denpasar for a holiday at the popular Indonesian island when the woman allegedly used the thumb of her sleeping husband to unlock his phone, where she found evidence of his infidelity. The woman, who was a few drinks down by then, reportedly got into a fight with her husband and also misbehaved with crew members who tried to pacify her. She went ballistic after what she discovered on the phone.

Once in India the family was escorted off the plane while the pilot continued it flight to Bali.

A Central Industrial Security Force official told the Times of India: "On November 5, at about 10 am, Qatar Airways flight QR-962 (Doha-Bali) was diverted to Chennai".

The woman caused such a ruckus that the pilot decided to make an emergency landing in Chennai, India.

After the emergency landing, officials kept the woman, her husband and their young child who they were travelling with at the airport. They gave her a chance to regroup and then placed the family on a flight to Kuala Lumpur, where they caught a connecting flight back to Doha.

"In respect of passenger privacy we do not comment on individual cases", a Qatar Airways spokesperson said.
