Mike Evans Cheap-Shots Marshon Lattimore After Jameis Winston Instigates DB

NOTES: Tampa Bay DE William Gholston was carted off the field with a neck injury in the third quarter. They've found a blueprint for winning games that involves building an early lead, and forcing opponents to pass against their aggressive defense.

Fitzpatrick went 8 of 15 for 68 yards, finally getting the Bucs into the end zone on an 8-yard scoring toss to tight end Luke Stocker midway through the fourth quarter when they trailed 30-3. Playing a first-and-10 at the Tampa 33, Brees flipped a screen pass to Kamara in the left flat. Fitzpatrick's 30 yards on three scrambles made him the Bucs' second-leading rusher behind Peyton Barber, who had 34 yards on 11 rushes.

In the past four games since the injury, Winston has completed 65-of-105 passes for 722 yards, three TD passes and three interceptions. Saints rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who also was involved in the sideline scuffle, blanketed Evans much of the game.

One step at a time but get ready to dance, New Orleans.

Defensively, the Saints continued to look like world beaters in what has been a stunning turnaround from New Orleans' 0-2 start, during which the same unit gave up 1,025 yards and 65 points. Lattimore turned around and shoved Winston in the chest.

Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans should have been ejected yesterday. Saints defensive back De'Vante Harris then came charging into the melee to defend Lattimore.

The Bucs host the Jets (and former Bucs QB Josh McCown) Sunday, followed by three straight road games - at the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers, all playoff teams last season and all at.500 or above now. There were no ejections.

First, Hardee came in clean up the middle for a smothering block on punter Bryan Anger. The ball bounced high into the air and directly into Hardee's arms at the 7-yard line, and he raced in untouched.

The Saints broke on top with a 40-yard field goal by Wil Lutz, which capped off a 12-play, 58-yard opening drive. Bucs kicker Patrick Murray missed from 54 yards.

Winston told reporters that he poked Lattimore as a way of "telling him to go to his sideline". The Privateers, reigning Southland Conference champions, travel to Queens, New York., to take on the St. John's Red Storm Nov. 10, at 6 p.m.

The Saints are looking for their seventh win in a row this week on the road against the Buffalo Bills.
