How Election Day is going

Election Protection, the nation's largest nonpartisan voter protection coalition, led by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, will provide live assistance for voters across the country on Election Day this year.

A technical oversight with York County's election machines is allowing a single voter to vote for a certain candidate a couple of times in certain races, according to a county spokesman.

And in Dauphin County, a judge ordered deputies to seize raffle tickets that reportedly offered an iPhone X for votes in the Harrisburg mayor's race.

The voter turnout in Lewis County for the 2016 general election was 77 percent. No unusual voting machine issues were reported.

The oversight is potentially impacting candidates who appear twice in a single race where more than one candidate is elected.

There are over 20 convenient drop off boxes across southern Colorado for voters to turn in their ballots.

Notices were posted at all polling stations reminding voters they may only vote once for cross-filed candidates in the same race, the release states. Election Protection also utilizes field monitors and voter education, and relies on its expansive network of national partners and state advocates, to respond to any questions or concerns voters may have.

"It's been slow", said Joana Stanfield with the Smith County Election Administration Office. And a poll worker, eavesdropping, said she is not allowed to politick, but sje agreed with the pair, saying her pension was at risk, too.
