Galaxy S8 Beta Program Leaks, Oreo Update Round The Corner?

Galaxy S8 Beta Program Leaks, Oreo Update Round The Corner?

The new beta is being made available to select customers participating in Samsung's Galaxy beta program.

For registration, you need to have an active Samsung Account, as well as the Samsung Members app (or the Samsung+ app if you are in the US) installed on your device.

Once you've done that, head into Settings, followed by About Device, then tap Download Updates Manually to check to see if the beta is ready for your handset. The update comes with software version G950USQU1ZQJB which not only installs the latest Android Oreo beta on the S8 but also a new Samsung Experience 9.0 skin.

It's also limited to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with Galaxy S8 Active users left the on the sidelines.

According to another Reddit user who claims to have gotten early access to the beta on their Galaxy S8, the phone runs a lot faster and more smoothly after the update. Besides, Samsung's homeland South Korea is also among the favourable regions to get the update in the first wave of the rollout. Knox Configure allows IT administrators to remotely configure and deploy custom mobile features more quickly and securely, while E-FOTA allows them to manage a fleet of devices through a centralized OS, and schedule updates.

On a related note, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 beta is nearly ready.

If you're sick and exhausted of dealing with Android problems on your Galaxy S8 (or another device), and you've got a Galaxy S8 lying around, think about trying the Galaxy S8 Oreo beta.

Samsung said it also plans to add the gold-colour edition (in South Korea) to the Galaxy Note 8 products starting on Friday, which is now available in Black, Blue, and Grey in the country.
