Dwyane Wade compares Heat's fourth Big Three season to 'bad marriage'

Dwyane Wade compares Heat's fourth Big Three season to 'bad marriage'

The Heat were coming off back-to-back titles that season, but endured multiple hard stretches, particularly late in the season, en route to their fourth-straight trip to the NBA Finals.

The Cleveland Cavaliers early-season struggles to start 2017-18 have been well documented.

Wade said the team is trying to figure it out together. "It was worse because it wasn't new guys". Your jokes weren't amusing any more to other guys, when you walked in it wasn't a big smile any more. More importantly, does this give you even a puncher's chance against Golden State, even if it is enough to get through the East?

"I do love you guys and I appreciate you guys for ya'll support and everything, but that 20 points a game ain't gonna happen".

"It's like being in a bad marriage".

"I think it makes us better", he said.

"We had a mental edge over those guys and we were able to win", Wade said. But we shouldn't have been there. So it's tough, definitely. "That's why it hasn't been done a lot". They went on to beat the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals in six games before losing to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals in five games. The two have reunited in Cleveland this year hoping to rekindle that spark that led to two titles in Miami.

It has sent the franchise into a whirlwind of questions about why the team has struggled to find any consistent success on the court. Scored 57 points on 67-percent shooting.

"Look at me", Lue said Friday about his team's slow start (via ESPN.com's Dave McMenamin). Ain't nobody afraid. Maybe at some point it will get there, but not right now. Added 11 boards, seven assists, three steals and two blocks. That's how I'd describe numerous Cavs, at least until IN embarrassed them Wednesday. One thing I did notice at Miami, teams were afraid of us a little bit. "Also understand the role here is different".
