Destiny 2 Free Trial Today

Destiny 2 Free Trial Today

If you're yet to see what all the fuss is about with Destiny 2, you'll be able to test it out on your platform of choice from tomorrow. This is particularly notable because, once you reach level 20, you begin earning Bright Engrams each time you fill your XP bar.

That means for two+ months since Destiny 2 has launched the game has been robbing players of a massive amount of in-game earnings that otherwise have a real-world value since they're being sold.

The tweet comes after the studio revealed that it added a system in the game that scaled the amount of experience points acquired in some portions of the game.

If you've been on the fence about playing Destiny 2, or put off by some of the recent controversies surrounding its economy and endgame, you can now dip your MIDA Mini-Tool in the water with the game's new free trial. Bringing it down to the point where you are only getting four percent of the XP you should be getting.

"Currently, XP will scale up when playing longer or fixed duration activities like Crucible competitive multiplayer matches and the Leviathan Raid, and XP will scale down when playing activities that can be quickly, repeatedly chained, like grinding Public Events", it explained. We are not happy with the results, and we've heard the same from the community. As of last week, XP gain rates have changed across the board, but the value is consistently displayed in the user interface at the bottom of the screen.

In addition to Smith's comments on upcoming features, Bungie is still on track for its third and final livestream for the upcoming "Curse of Osiris" expansion for Destiny 2.
