Comedian Louis CK accused of sexual misconduct

Comedian Louis CK accused of sexual misconduct

Some also see the black-and-white 35mm film as C.K.'s response to his own controversies.

The Times story's three listed writers included Jodi Kantor, who also co-wrote the paper's earlier investigative reports on fallen movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, accused by almost 80 women of sexually harassing, coercing, assaulting or raping them in episodes dating back four decades.

The article claims that Louis C.K. invited comedians Goodman and Wolov up to his hotel room at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen in 2002.

Another woman, Abby Schachner, said she could hear Louis C.K. masturbating while she was on the phone with him in 2003.

Kay and C.K.'s manager David Becky did not immediately respond to Reuters's emails and calls for comment on Thursday.

In Thursday's Times story, Notaro said, "Sadly, I've come to learn that Louis C.K.'s victims are not only real, but many are actual friends of mine within the comedy community". Years ago, she accused Louis C.K. of inappropriate behavior on behalf of women who had confided in her that Louis C.K. was a predator. "As a result, we are giving careful consideration to the timing and release of the film and continuing to review the situation".

"He leaned close to my face and said, 'Can I ask you something?' I said, 'Yes, '" Ms. Corry said in a written statement to The New York Times.

Rumors surrounding the 50-year-old comedian's alleged misconduct picked up steam after Tig Notaro told The Daily Beast in August that Louis C.K. had to "handle" them.

An anonymous fifth woman also says that CK repeatedly asked her to watch him masturbate while they worked together on the Chris Rock Show during the 1990s.

The Times also quoted three other women. But Corry said that C.K. apologized for shoving her in a bathroom, not allegedly masturbating in front of her, causing her to think there have been other incident of misconduct.

"And this guy didn't rape me, but he made a certain difficult decision to go on tour with him really hard", she continued.

Stories connecting the comedian to alleged sexual misconduct first began swirling back in 2012, when Gawker ran a post about an unnamed male comedian who liked to masturbate in front of women. Many have pointed to Malkovich's character as a stand-in for the infamous filmmaker, Woody Allen who married his adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn after a secret affair that started when she was a teen.

Known for his candid, warts-and-all personal humor, which often includes bodily fluids and sex, C.K. grew up outside Boston. When she complained, she says he told her, "Your job is to get naked and to say the lines".

"I don't recall the exact specifics of the conversation, but know I never threatened anyone".

"I have not spoken to Louis in probably going on two years now", she said.
