Carrie Underwood suffers broken wrist after 'hard fall,' rep says

Carrie Underwood will be taking a few days off from her sweaty gym sessions while she recovers from injuries sustained during a recent fall.

Carrie Underwood arrives on the red carpet at the CMA Awards. Carrie Underwood is treated at the hospital but her injuries will take some to get healed up, said her spokesperson.

Country singer Carrie Underwood is now recovering after falling at her home and suffering a broken wrist and several other injuries.

Meanwhile, the women's fitness apparel designer took to Twitter Sunday night to thank her fans for all their kind messages and gave a sweet shoutout to her husband, Mike Fisher.

"Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody", Underwood's tweet reads.

Underwood's husband, retired National Hockey League star Mike Fisher, was able to make it back to Nashville the same night to tend to his ailing wife. "I'll be alright. might just take some time".

She suffered a broken wrist, cuts and bruises. They have a 2-year-old son, Isaiah.

The "Before He Cheats" singer had to cancel an upcoming benefit concert planned for Nashville due to her injuries.

A statement from an Underwood spokesperson says she was to miss a benefit concert Sunday night in Nashville for victims of the October 1 Las Vegas shooting and hurricanes in Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. The accident happened after she hosted the 51st annual Country Music Awards (CMA), which was recently held in Nashville. "So this year's show is dedicated to all of those we've lost and to all of those who are still healing".
