ARSENE WENGER has called Santi Cazorla's injury "the worst" he has ever known - and refused to rule out the notion the Spaniard may never play again.

"Unfortunately, he is injured now, but I have to say Santi Cazorla", Iwobi declared when asked by Soccerladuma who he thinks is Arsenal's most skillful player.

The 32-year-old revealed earlier in November that he was told the injury might have left him unable to walk before travelling to his native Spain for further surgery.

"I am aware of how much Cazorla loves to play soccer, and he loves to go out there every day, and I am very sorry for what happened to him, because it is incredible", he added.

"He has competent medical people around him and he tries to practise, but I have not spoken to him recently but I hope he comes back".

I think Tottenham are a good side but we have the quality to win this game and that's what we want to show.

Spain worldwide Cazorla, who joined Arsenal from Malaga in 2012, recently told Spanish newspaper Marca he aims to be back playing in January.

Arsenal will be looking to see off archrivals, Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday's North London derby at the Emirates Stadium.

It means Alexandre Lacazette is likely to start up front, having been left on the bench for previous high-profile games against Liverpool and Manchester City.

That reply may have been tongue-in-cheek, but if you can imagine a minute what the response will be on justarsenal if we DID lose, there will probably be a lot of readers calling for Wenger's head and saying that the players really should be shot! He didn't play away from home at City. "I trust him completely". I never thought I'd have to quit - but the doctors told me: 'If you manage to get back to walking with your son in the garden you should settle for that. Meanwhile, both Danny Welbeck and even Shkodran Mustafi should have late fitness tests and could return if they pass.
