Xiaomi Launches Mi Mix 2

Xiaomi Launches Mi Mix 2

Xiaomi announced the launch of the device at an event in New Delhi.

The Mi Mix 2 is a phone that uses premium materials such as ceramic and gold on the rim of the camera, and a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (1080x2160) display that melts into the phone's aluminum frame to create a design built for the future.

The vogue which was believably kick-started by the Chinese giant, Xiaomi with the launch of Mi MIX has once again made a decision to capture the Indian markets with the smartphone's successor, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. IDC also says that given Xiaomi's strong track record with mid-range smartphones like the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4, there will likely be a positive outlook towards the Mi Mix 2. If Xiaomi chooses to price the phone similarly in India, it would make the Mi MIX 2 its most expensive model in the country. The front camera comes with a 5MP sensor covered with Super Black lens coating which allows the camera to completely merge with the body when the display is off. Also, they have shifted the front camera at the bottom right corner to serve the same goal. The phone has a 5.9-inch screen with a 2048 x 1080 FHD+ panel, and there's also a notification LED tucked away in the bottom bar. The company claims that this earpiece delivers high quality sound.

The company also launched Mi Noise Cancelling Earphones with a USB Type-C connectivity which will be priced at Rs 2,999. Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC is paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The 5-Megapixel front shooter works in a way which could take some getting used to. A 3400mAh battery sits under the hood and provides enough fuel to the phone to last for the whole day. In China, the first batch of Mi Mix 2 was sold out in 58 seconds. The device sports a dual camera setup on the back, while it packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, and ships with Android 7.0 Nougat. The device is Xiaomi's most premium device up till date and will start selling on October 17 exclusively on Flipkart and Xiaomi India's website.
