Wonder Woman looks set to dominate in Justice League

Warner Bros. officially launched their DC cinematic universe (unofficially known as the DCEU) a year ago with Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - a follow-up to the filmmaker's 2013 film, Man of Steel - and they will be continuing the story left off from that movie with Justice League next month.

At the end of Batman v Superman, the superhero slash antiques dealer reveals to Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) that she walked away from mankind after being exposed to horrors man has inflicted on the world over the course of their existence.

This video goes over Diana Prince's backstory, which you should be familiar with if you've seen Wonder Woman, and if you haven't seen it yet, then what are you waiting for?

"She grew up isolated from the world of men". But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Wonder Woman makes a huge deal out of Diana's compassion.

In the DC Extended Universe, the Justice League will come together for the first time in next month's movie, aptly titled ... In 2017's Wonder Woman, which takes place much earlier, Diana is portrayed as someone who would never, ever give up on humanity - it was kind of the whole point of her character arc.

Even Wonder Woman, who is one of the most technicoloured and uplifting of all the DC characters, was steely and subdued.

With so many characters and spinoff movies to consider, a coherent throughline is often lost underneath all of the spectacle and mind-numbing action.

Gadot also reminded the press that the reason the Amazonian superhero left the island of Themyscira was that she wanted humanity to have safer and better lives as it was her calling.

AT&T, one of Warner Bros.' marketing partners for Justice League, has released a new video online highlighting Wonder Woman's role in the upcoming team-up movie.
