Weather: Weekend Heat & Rain

Monday Night: 20 percent chance of showers after 1 am. Moisture will be on an increase today, as there may be a few more showers and chance for isolated t-showers in the afternoon.

Some sunshine on Sunday but clouds and showers will also roll through.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy, less humid, cooler.

Clouds with showers on Friday.

Today: Mix of Sun and Clouds. We remain mild and muggy Saturday night and Sunday with an increasing breeze ahead of a cold front.

But on this last excessively sunny and slightly unbearably warm day, let's take a second to bask in our collective recent memories of evening runs, morning walks and the general stretch of awesome outdoor activity inducing weather we've enjoyed over the past 24 days. Mostly cloudy - high near 80. The current ocean water temperature is around 70, so expect highs just shy of 70 on Thursday. Forecast lows are in the lower to mid 70s with highs in the upper 80s, and rain coverage at around 40%.

Hurricane Nate will be a thing of the past for the Gulf Coast Sunday as it will be racing into the mid-Atlantic. Once Nate enters the Gulf, it is likely to become a category one hurricane before making landfall near southeast Louisiana. Highs in the lower 70s.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.

Rain from the remnants of Nate should end Tuesday morning and weather conditions are expected to improve during the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s.

Cooler air will move into the region on Tuesday, but temperatures will still run several degrees above average for this point in the year.

Gradually clearing skies along with a high near 73 degrees and westerly winds around 10 miles per hour are expected on Saturday.

Starting on Saturday over the weekend, we could see some rain come back into the forecast.
