These are the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

According to the images shared by Venture Beat's Evan Blass, both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will sport a slightly tweaked home screen wherein the Google search bar is now at the bottom, even below the apps seen at the dock in Pixel launchers till now.

While prices will likely be more expensive in the Great White North, Droid Life reports that the Pixel 2 will be priced at $649/$749 United States dollars ($812/$937 CAD) depending on either the 64GB or 128GB variant.

But with updated displays, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset, tweaked designs, and a "squeezable" edge for the Pixel XL, the increased pricing of the Pixel 2 handsets over their predecessors appear to justify the upgrades. It is interesting to note that LG has been rumoured to be the manufacturer of Pixel 2 XL phone, and the display actually looks like the LG G6. The other leaked features are 4GB RAM, 64 GB or 128GB built in storage and 12MP single rear camera. Google has done a better job this year of mitigating leaks of their new phones, but as we get closer to the launch date the leaks keep pouring in. In addition to that, Google has also removed the 3.5mm jack.

Google is set to announce the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL on October 4 at an event in San Francisco.

Both phones are expected to run Oreo, the latest version of Google's mobile operating system. The event is scheduled to take place on October 4 and we can soon confirm how impressive the new flagship models are, especially with the Apple iPhone X around the corner.

However, while the display no longer looks disappointing, the lack of dual cameras on the Google Pixel 2 XL is indeed going to dishearten many users. This also shows off most of the features that the rumours mention prior to these images popping up.

While the Pixel 2 XL will be sporting a 6-inch screen (up from last year's 5.5-inch), the Pixel 2, will be wrapping a bezel less display of 5-inch. The 64GB model will cost $849, while the 128GB model will jump to $949. They are also expected to see a staggered rollout with the Pixel 2 launching on 19 October and Pixel 2 XL on 15 November.
