Poor Gemma Collins Creases Herself On Stage In Wembly Stadium

'The seriousness of it is that it could have been really fatal because, what people don't see, is that under there there's all this machinery going on, ' the 36-year-old told hosts Ben Shephard and Amanda Holden on This Morning. Full credit to her, she jumped back on her feet and told the crowd: "Oh my God, I am so sorry about that".

But she did admit that she was a little bruised, writing alongside a snap of her and Rita: 'Guys it was all worth it cause I got a selfie with RITA ORA #lifegoals off to bed now I'm in agony and need to rest'.

She added: "It's just one of these moments I don't think I'm ever going to live down".

She even offered fans another bird's eye view of how the fall played out, revealing that the stage design for the award show was an accident waiting to happen. I just want to apologise, as I wiped them out.

However, Gemma also hinted that she'd been silenced by Radio 1 bosses over discussing whether or not she had been briefed on the mechanics of the trap door on stage.

The trapdoor was created to allow the winners, Jamie Jewitt, Amber Davies, and Marcel Somerville, to come on stage easily, but Gemma didn't see it and fell straight through.

However, Gemma being Gemma then joked that the incident might give her leverage to get on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

Is that Gemma... or Bridget? "Best and worse moment for me". By saying " Love Island ", a hatch opened in the side of this poor Gemma, who has noticed nothing and was heavily left caught by this empty suddenly.

It all started off well as Collins confidently graced the stage to present the Radio 1 Teen Award for Best TV Show. I kind of feel bad for laughing so much now.

Rita Ora also shared a message of support on the Newsbeat Twitter feed.

The reality TV star clearly saw the amusing side and also posted a mock advert for the National Accident Helpline on her Instagram page with a picture of herself. "GC is alive and kicking and still loving Radio 1".
