Nurse Sing A Song For Elder Woman Dying Of Cancer

The nurse's extremely kind gesture has won million hearts on the internet after the video was shared on Facebook and YouTube.

Smith was headed for a liver transplant, but her health deteriorated and doctors said she was too sick to survive the procedure.

The post by Crystal Hamilton Roberts showed a nurse named Olivia singing to a woman named Margaret, who was lying on a bed in a hospital gown.

As of 11:30 a.m. Friday, the video had 3.6 million views, over 48,000 interactions and nearly 68,000 shares.

"But she didn't leave the hospital without the voice of an "angel" singing her on", Roberts said in her post.

'You never left her side by choice! "You truly are a beam of light and I can not thank you enough for the compassion and care and love you shared for my mother".

'God bless you Olivia!

"Okay, it's our favorite part", Neufelder told her in the gut-wrenching video, which has since been shared widely on social media.

'I am so humbled and honoured to be a nurse. (I hope you all share this so it can find its way back to nurse Olivia in Vanderbilt)'. "She didn't feel like a patient at that time".

Smith always called Neufelder her little "angel".

Neufelder said that the moment captured on video was an emotional one, "knowing that this could be the last time I was singing to her".

Margaret sadly passed away at a nursing home on Wednesday.

She disclosed to News Channel 5: "There was very almost a feeling of peace realizing that it was her main tune and she told me it's the tune she needs played at her memorial service".

Margaret leaves behind a daughter and a son in their early 20's.
