More Than 20000 Girls Married Off Illegally Each Day

"Every five minutes a girl dies of violence".

Beyoncé released a new music video for "Freedom" yesterday for a very good reason-October 11 was the International Day of the Girl.

More than a fifth are in West and Central Africa, where 1.7 million illegal child marriages occur each year, the highest rates in the world, the report said.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to celebrate the International Day of the Girl with me by participating in the Government of Canada's #ClaimYourPlace campaign and tell us about the awesome girls who are making a difference around you. It is also known as Day of the Girl or International Girl Child Day. Girl population of the world faces inequality in terms of educations, nutrition, equal opportunities, medical care and legal rights.

For many girls, the latter rings more true in their lives, as some of their basic rights have been either denied or taken away from them. "We recognize that the girls of today will tomorrow be leaders in every nation and every sector of the economy", Trump said in the statement.

"Some of these challenges are child marriages, lack of access to schools, child prostitution, inadequate information and services related to puberty and reproductive health and inability for girls to protect themselves against unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases and gender based violence". In many countries, girls are seen as a burden or commodity. 63 million girls have undergone female genital mutilation.

Beyoncé gave birth to twins this past summer, and she's already got her taut abdomen back in "formation".
