Five found stabbed to death in Delhi's Mansarovar Park

Five persons, including four women, were found dead inside a house at Mansarovar Park of Shahdara district in East Delhi on Saturday.

Nupur Prasad, DCP (Shahdara), identified the victims as a 82-year-old Urmila Jindal, her three daughters - Sangeeta Gupta, 56, Nupur, 48, Anjali, 38 - and a 42-year-old security guard, Rakesh. The police officials present at the spot said that the incident came to light when a call was made to the police at 7:15 AM. It is suspected the killers after entering the corridor murdered the guard Rakesh and dumped the body behind the scooter. However, police said they were probing the murders from every angle, including robbery as well as property dispute.

The police has said that the family owns Jindal Oil Mill in the national capital. "Can't say motive behind the murders now but we have a few inputs and probe is underway", Special Police Commissioner said. When household helps and some family members rushed upstairs to fetch the auto keys, they found the women's bodies in the living room. A body was lying on the double bed, one was on the sofa, and two were on the floor.

The house is located in a compound where seven families comprising 40 members reside. All five had their throats slit.

Those who knew the family also said that they had never got any inkling of a family dispute.

A police officer told IANS that they were looking whether personal animosity could have led to the horrific murders. Police suspect that some labourers could be behind the crime.

Four of the deceased belonged to the same family.
