Cortana is coming to Skype, hope you don't mind her watching

Microsoft is starting to roll out Cortana inside of Skype, letting its smart assistant jump into private and group chats to offer assistance in making plans and looking up information. There are the usual canned responses, but Cortana will also recommend setting reminders, suggest restaurant options and provide movie reviews. The integration would be similar to what we have seen Google do with its assistant in "Allo" and Facebook with "Messenger". The digital voice assistant has evolved over the last few years and Microsoft finally implemented the Cortana into Windows 10 PC. Cortana will respond to chats with quick suggestions, relevant to the conversation and make the chat experience easier. If you haven't done this, you will be taken through the process before you enable Cortana.

The big idea here is that Cortana can pop up in chats (group or private) to offer intelligent suggestions along various lines.

Cortana in Skype is being gradually rolled out for Android and iOS users in the US.

Cortana can be used to give Skype users directions. If you still do not have Microsoft Skype on your device, you can head to either Google Play or Apple's App Store and download it now for free.

You can have a one-on-one conversation with Cortana and get answers to questions, like weather updates, flight status, stock quotes, restaurants in your area or who the actor is in a specific movie.

This is a good move as Cortana can save time by smart replies. It will also give you smart replies so you don't even need to type out what you want to say. If someone asks you to do not forget to do something, Cortana will offer to set a reminder on your phone. Just like with other assistants, you have to use it a lot so it can understand your digital behavior.
