Stoke City Premier League - 16 September 2017

Newcastle host Stoke City on Saturday, and the manager would hope his team bring that fight and drive to the pitch as they attempt to make it 3 league victories on the tear.

Newcastle United climbed up to fourth in the table with a third successive Premier League win as Stoke City were unable to capitalise on some bad finishing from the home team.

"Hopefully the fans are enjoying and the team can carry on winning".

But manager Benitez was keeping his feet firmly on the ground as he celebrated a successful return to the dug-out.

Newcastle have had a poor transfer window, but Benitez can not do anything now about it.

Benitez definitely goes all the way to get the best out of his team behind the scene, and skipper Jamaal Lascelles has revealed yet another way the boss gets his men firing on all cylinders.

Stoke City have made a decent start to their 2017/18 campaign as well.

Ince says that Stoke City are "getting back into the groove" a bit, and as such they won't get battered at the hands of Newcastle.

However brief their stay may be, the locals among a crowd of 51,795 left St James' Park in jubilant mood after witnessing a third successive league win and perhaps dreaming, albeit fancifully, of the days when the club once mixed it with Europe's aristocrats.

"Stoke come into this game off the back of what probably felt like a win against Man United", said Ince to the Express. "So I'm going with the home side".
