Worldwide, the film earned over Rs. 584 crores. The total collection now stands at Rs 10.65 crore net. However, made at an approximate budget of Rs 30 crore, the Hansal Mehta film still has a long way to go before it posts a profit. However, Kangana Ranaut one-person show Simran is doing a fair business at the box office with Rs 2.77 crore as the opeining collection. Friday 2.77 cr, Sat 3.76 cr, Sun 4.12 cr. Hopefully, the film will be able to earn well on first Monday as well.

Kangana's Simran is based on the real-life story of Sandeep Kaur, an NRI in United State who was convicted for four bank robberies, she is also known as "Bombshell Bandit".

The queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut's latest comedy-drama flick "Simran" which hit the big screen of 15th September, Friday is running slow in the theaters. Will "Simran" gain momentum like "Queen" and get the numbers too?

Kangana Ranaut's much awaited Bollywood movie Simran has not received good reviews but then also it maintained to collect good amount at the box office on the very first day.

Both movies performed satisfactorily, with Kangana leading the Box Office race.

On the other hand, Lucknow Central revolves around Kishen Mohan Girhotra (Farhan's character) and his jail inmates who form a music band as part of an escape plan from prison.

Earlier, there were reports that she was being offered the role in the multi starrer movie "Thugs of Hindostan", which is an upcoming action-adventure film, written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.
