Police investigating IN double homicide made aware of Mt. Herman menacing arrest

Almost a week before Nations' arrest, the body of cyclist Tim Watkins was found in the same area. On February 13, Abby, 13, and Libby, 14, walked along the Mono High Bridge in Delphi.

Nations was arrested in Teller County on a charge of possession of a weapon by a previous offender, Kirby said. Sheriff's office spokeswoman Jacqueline Kirby said Thursday that charges are pending against Nations in El Paso County.

Woodland Police Department said the red Chevrolet Prizm had expired IN license plates.

Nations was arrested on Monday after allegedly threatening several people with a hatchet near a trail in Colorado where a man was murdered two weeks earlier.

New developments this morning in the murders of two teenage girls from Delphi, Indiana.

"We aware of the arrest we are aware of the situation out there". Their deaths were ruled a homicide, but authorities have not said how they were killed.

But investigators are quick to say, they have hundreds of pictures of people who look like the Delphi suspect.

Riley says the first question is whether Nations was in IN on February 13, when the Delphi teens vanished while hiking.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley has responded, "the office investigates any and every lead brought to their attention, and this case is no exception".

Authorities shared a photo recovered from her phone - an image of a man wearing a dark blue jacket and jeans walking along the Delphi trails - as well as chilling audio in a bid to identify the girls' killer.

WISH-TV confirmed Nations registered as a sex offender living in Greenwood, Indiana, in 2010. "If that should change-with this tip, or any other tip-rest assured we would be sharing such news with all media sources".

The person depicted in the sketch is described as a white man with reddish brown hair, standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10, and weighing 180 to 220 pounds.

Nations was convicted of Indecent Exposure in Beaufort County, South Carolina in 2008. The Indiana Police said in a statement that they are investigating the tips just like they have with all of the tips they have received. He also has a conviction in Bartholomew County, Indiana, for "fondl (ing) the genitals of the defendant or another person in a public place".
